Brazilian residents feel neglected in dengue fight
Brazilian government is trying to stop a massive and deadly outbreak of dengue in a poor and abandoned neighborhood called Caxias. Thye mosquito that transmit the deadly virus keep multiplying thanks to the poor conditions of the community of Caxias, the mosquito breeds in pools of stagnant water, stored, exposed water, including places as shallow as jars, discarded bottles and plant saucers, according to the World Health Organization. Authorities have said they are investigating 58 deaths in addition to the 67 confirmed fatalities that they attribute to the dengue epidemics, almost half the deaths were in children under the age of 13. One of the many problems that the governmenet face are drug dealers who wield great power on the streets of Caxias rarely let in outsiders. Caxias is home to thousands but is also considered one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro. Symptoms of dengue fever include high fever, severe headache, backache, joint pains and eye pain, nausea, vomiting, and a rash.

How much is $87 billion?
National debt- is the amount of money owed by the United States federal gavernment to creditors who hold U.S. debt instruments
Trade Deficit- is the difference between the monetary value of exports and imports in an economy over a certain period of time
The difference between national debt and trade deficit is that national debt keeps count of all the money that the U.S. federal government owe to the people and trade deficit keeps record of all the money that goes out and cames to the country
I think that trade deficit is hurting more the economy because if there is no trade of money with other countries the national debt is going to increase casing more problems to the economy.

INFLATION-is a rise in the general level of prices over time. It may also refer to a rise in the prices of a specific set of goods or services.
DEFLATION-is the opposite of inflation, therefore deflation means a decrease in the general price level
STAGFLATION-is a macroeconomics term used to describe a period of inflation combined with stagflation (slow economic growth and rising unemployment, possibly including recession)
2) I'm surprised to see that the CPI measures almost every kind of products consume by the people in the U.S

recession
recession is the decline in a country's gross domestic product, or negative real economic growth, for tow or more successive quarters in a year. http://www.american.com/archive/2007/december-12-07/the-great-recession-of-2008. i think that the U.S. is entering a recession because some prices of goods is going up and the governmetn is trying to prevent that, which means that a recession is starting.
The article is about a offer that Microsotf is giving to yahoo in regards of becoming part of them since they dont want any competition, Microsoft is offering $44.6 billion to yahoo but Mr. Yang is trying to come out with some solutions to save and still work as an independent company. I think that yahoo is going to give to Microsoft since they own a greater part of the internet but Mr. Yang's company is going to ask for more money.
